Some Christmas Spirit.
I FINALLY got my tree up. That was an ordeal in and of itself. I got up Friday morning early and was going to have the actual tree put up so when the kids got up they could help me decorate it. I got up, got dressed, went in the kitchen and got everything out, and got started. The big metal piece that actually holds the tree limbs, was gone. So, I bundled up and went out to the garage to look for it. I couldn't find it any where. Brice was up, so I told him we were going to have to wait till Bret got up and may be he would know where it was, because he helped Brian unload the truck, and I KNOW he had it when we unloaded, because he brought it in the house and asked if Brian had brought the tree in here or out in the garage. So, sure enough, he got up and I told him the situation, he went right out to the garage and brought it right in. So, we commenced putting up the tree. Got it all put up, it looked good, went to put the lights on it, NONE of my lights worked. I had 1 strand that 1 color worked. I had 1 strand that all BUT 1 color worked. I had 2 strands that wouldn't light at all. And I had 2 or 3 strands that we had outside last year, and they worked but none of them blinked. So, I put one of those blinkie bulbs in them then they all went out. So, I said FORGET IT. I went over to the Dollar General to see if they had any lights. They had a bazillion CLEAR lights, and 1 box of colored lights. By this time I was getting so frustrated I couldn't see straight. I just came home and called it quits on the tree. Brian and I were going in to town that night to do some Christmas shopping, so I would get some lights then. NOPE, in the excitement of shopping and being out ALONE, with NO kids for the evening, I forgot all about the lights. On Brian's way home from work Saturday he picked up some lights. So, FINALLY, we got lights on the tree late Saturday night. Then the tree sat ALL DAY Sunday, blinking pretty lights, with NO decorations. We FINALLY got it decorated yesterday. So, the tree is DONE. THANK GOD!!!
We are going to IL to be with Brian's family for the holidays, but we always like to have Christmas with our kids before we go. So, we have set aside this coming Friday, the 19th, to have our Christmas here at home. That is why I have been in such a tizzy to get everything done. Brian and I got our Christmas shopping done last night as well. So, now I can sit back and breathe a bit of a sigh of relief. But now comes all the wrapping and all that good stuff. BUT, at least I don't have to get out in that cold, cold weather again for a while.
I am getting more in the Christmas spirit. There for a while I didn't think I was going to get it at all. But things are coming along better now.
I hope all of you are enjoying your pre-Christmas traditions, whatever they may be.
Until next time.

Well, Christmas is almost here, and what have I done to prepare for it. Pretty much nothing. My living room is still a mess. I still have two huge piles of boxes in the corner of my living room. Therefore the chair that goes in the corner is out in the middle of the floor. Our other chair is sitting in front of the window where the Christmas tree should go, but there is no where to move it to for everything else in the way.
Brian just found out he is going to have to work the next two Saturdays. Full days too, not just till noon. So, I have NO idea when we are going to be able to do any Christmas shopping, IF at all.
I am just really finding it VERY hard to get in the Christmas spirit this year. Having to move right in the middle of the holidays really stinks. I feel so disorganized, (Not like I am a real organized person to begin with, so if I feel disorganized, you know it's gotta be bad.) and like I am so far behind on everything. I don't know if it will ever get done.
But on the up side of things. Brian has been selling some stuff on e-bay, so that is nice for the little bit of extra money. I have found a few of the things the kids are asking for for Christmas at MUCH lower prices that we were expecting to pay, and that is a HUGE blessing. Because the one thing Bret wants he wasn't going to be able to get at all because it was WAY out of our price range, but I found it last night just under what we were planning on spending. SO, PRAISE THE LORD. Bret is going to be SO excited!!!
I hope everyone else's pre-Christmas plans are going along more smoothly for them. I am sure when it is all over and we look back we will say, as we do every year, that was the best Christmas we have ever had.
Talk to you again soon.

Settling In
We are slowly but surely getting settled in. It is much slower than I would like, for sure. I finished my kitchen on Saturday, which is the most important thing. Of course Sunday with church and everything, we didn't get much done. Brian started to work on Monday, so I was left at home with the kids to fend for myself. I set up the boys' bedroom, put up their bunk beds, unpacked and organized things the way I wanted them. So, they are done. I started to work on the girls' room, and got it almost completed, but couldn't figure out how to put Courtney's rails for her bed together. So, I did what I could and left that for Brian to do when he got in. Tuesday, I finished in Courtney's room, unpacking, and organizing things in there. I finally got that done. Tuesday night when Brian got in he FINALLY got my washer and dryer in and hooked up, so Wednesday I spent the majority of the day doing laundry. I have been doing laundry every day since. Wednesday I also worked some on my bedroom. I organized my closet, and emptied out a few boxes here and there. My living room is still piled to the ceiling with stuff that needs to be moved to the garage. I have been waiting for Brian to kinda head that up, and may be he can get to it this week end. I really want to get things done, I don't even have my Christmas tree up. Do you realize it is less than 3 weeks till Christmas now. UGH!!! And I don't have ANYTHING done.
Well, I guess that is about all for now. I will let you know when we finally get everything done. IF we get everything done.
Talk to you again soon.

A Brand New Start
Hello People,
I know my last post is probably seered in your mind, because it has been there for so long, but guess what? We have moved again. I KNOW! We have moved back to MO. and since I am back to having high speed internet again where I can actually get on here and do something, I thought I would just delete everything and start from scratch. Good Idea? I thought so. So, check back for updates, and changes. I will try to be more frequent now.
Talk to you again soon,
